Our topic was about Bias and Prejudice. Bias is the propensity to prefer one person, group, item, or point of view over another in an unjust manner. And the author purposefully withholds or ignores information that might cast the opposing view in a more positive light (bias); the author consciously presents evidence that serves to tell only one side of an event or issue, purposefully withholding or ignoring information that might cast the opposing view in a more positive light. On the other hand, Prejudice is a negative view or sentiment generated without information, thinking, or reason before it is spoken. It simply means to pass judgment on others before getting to know them. Furthermore, it is an unwarranted or inaccurate (typically unfavorable) attitude toward an individual based simply on the individual's social group membership.
The activities are easy and you can do it right away. I learned that in Prejudice, the author utilizes provocative language, including racial epithets, slurs, and other derogatory terms. Also makes assertions with the overarching goal of elevating (or demeaning) one social, ethnic, national, religious, or gender group above another, or all others. Bias is the manufactures, falsifies and/or dishonestly cites evidence in order to present his or her case a more positive light. There's none I find it difficult, the highlight of the blog is to not be Bias or Prejudice.
